Disclaimer: This is the story of a project that makes no sense as a moneymaker, but is a fun challenge and a vehicle to learn and try some new skills.
So I have a 1981 Takamatsu EM-2 turning center that uses Yasnac 2000G. It had a BTR that the previous owner could never get to work. I tried...
Looking for a used horizontal injection molding machine in the New England area. Something like a Boy 15 or a small Arburg for my garage for a part I am working on. Babyplast is probably out of my budget. I've found some out in the Ohio/Michigan area but just tossing out the request here...
I read them once and they have been sitting on the shelf so almost in new condition. Realizing that I will probably not get around to reading a second time.
$150 shipped Media Mail inthe US. A little more if you want first class or to a different location.
paypal F&F or money order only...
Sharing something I tried and seems to be working out. The o-ring belts on my newly aquired 510 surface grinder were junk and needed replacement. From searching around it seems that they are a non-standard size of around 0.260" diameter, and are around $30 each for the 5 or 6 needed.
I ended...
I'm helping a neighbor sell some tools that he got from his brother decades ago. Many of them are new and never opened from 40-50 years ago. One wild thing is this Moore set of 1-2-3 blocks with everything still wrapped up. I'm posting because I thought this group would get a kick out it...
I picked up a nice 1960ish Harrison L5A as part of an estate I was helping to clean out. After hours of cleaning it up my son and I quite like it and decided to keep it - eventually he will probably get it.
Anyways - long shot here but does anyone have a reasonably priced steady rest - or a...
Hi - I acquired a set of MT2 shank drill bits in a Huot Index, sizes 33/64" to 3/4". All the drills say Made in USA and are either stamped with the USA and an M in a square, or laser marked with Made in USA and an M in quotes.
Can I assume these are Morse?
I have an extra copy of the Holes book. Very Good condition with no dust jacket. Anybody have a spare copy of the Foundations in Accuracy book for trade?
Hi - be gentle on me if I don't use the right terminology.
My Jr. Olympic Rifle program has some old 22LR Anschutz rifles - maybe from the 60's. They are great for the younger shooters because they are light. On one of them the surface that cams the bolt completely forward into the battery...
I checked with the mod and got permission that this post is OK.
I have this stock for sale - I switched for the At-one. This one is something like $169 new plus shipping.
Looks good except for a couple of safe dings and there are some light finish marks that are a little whiter than the...
Too big for my needs. 20" wide and 18" and 16" legs. 1.5" thick. VERY heavy - like 330# or more heavy.
No maker mark, I think its steel. Typical little burrs on some of the edges that file off.
Prefer local pickup - but would strap to a pallet and drop at shipper if you do all the...
Hi All,
I'm checking some prints and coming across a batch that is using something that I've only ever seen with complex shaped mold cavities.
These are milled parts and have most, but not all of the dimensions there. There is a note to "check the solid model for any missing dimensions" and...
Listed as an iron age forming machine. Looks old and cool for sure. Anybody able to identify?

Hi. Checking if anyone has an old punched tape (opaque) sitting on a shelf that they don't need or want that I could use to debug a machine. Smaller is better and it does not matter what it is - I'm not going to run it, just see if I can get it to load into memory.
I'm working with an old NC...
I have an old (1981) NC turning center with the Yasnac 2000G control. It has a CRT that has a dark area and has done some weird flickers in the past. I figure it is just a matter of time before it becomes unusable - so I'm looking to switch it over to a LCD on the cheap. It is not a money...
Came across these in an auction and they are listed as "Engine turning lathes" - which are not like anything I've seen before. Anybody know what they are called or have more information or ideas about it?
I'm selling this for a friend who's father passed a while ago, and 10 years later the house was sold. I pulled this and a Bridgeport out of the basement.

Some extraction pictures for posterity. Lucky to have a friend swing by...
$400 shipped anywhere USPS flat rate goes. Anywhere else we will have to investigate.
Selling for my neighbor who has had them sitting on the shelf in an unheated garage for the better part of 30 years. There was some rust on them from condensation that I cleaned with 30 seconds on the...
This show is Europe's biggest for AM. This year it is virtual due to Covid. It won't be the same but you can sign up for free and get access to the content through the rest of the year.
Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with the show, I've just been to it in the past.
Formnext –...
I posted this in the antique forum and was reccoed to verify here.
Is this a Monarch steady rest? It's 7" from the mounting flat to the split, and 6" from the center of the "V" to the center of the mounting flat. K297 is the only number in the casting.
Also found this one on ebay: MONARCH...
