Hi,

I have a 1952 Monarch 10EE and I wanted to create a post asking for information on the removal of the back gear box pulley. For some reason I can't seem to create a post. Is a puller and back plate normally needed to remove the pulley? It appears the shaft is keyed and for some reason most of the shaft has a drilled hole down the center several inches deep. Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Justin

I've only ever pulled the splined pulleys and they all pop right off after pulling the retention plate. I'd look for evidence of hammering and such on the end of the shaft.

I'm now able to post on here! Thanks Cal for posting for me. I ended up heating the keyed pulley and using a 3 jaw puller and a cheater bar. It was super tight! I will take some measurements and see what kind of fit there is between the shaft/pulley. Now I need to get the box apart and see how the bearings and gears look.
