I'm looking for the best material to make this part out of.
all of the tolerances are ±0.1mm.
This part is going inside of medical tubing so my company generally prefers stainless steels.
Tubing is going to be pushed on and pulled off of the shaft so it needs to be very robust.
I initially chose 440C Hardened to 45-50 HRC but was told that this would likely warp significantly after being heat treated.
Do any of you have experience with similar applications? Any suggestions?
