Titanium has low wear resistance as well as not being very hard...

Machining heat and 50 cal round heat are 2 completely different types of heat input. From the way you've been talking I'm gonna guess you don't know much about what you are doing but saw something on you tube or the like and decided let's half ass try to make that...then post on a professional machinists website and think we are gonna eat this shit with a glass of kool-aid.
I’m just saying guys. I haven’t seen many videos of specialized platform machining as far as ar platforms go there’s either AR10 or 15. This one only needs a magwell that can accommodate and feed a round into an adequately headspaced chamber. My next task on this prototype is just to ream the chamber so the bullet sits maybe 3mm out for extraction

I made an automatic air powered "musket" at a place I worked...fired .500 stainless balls at 120 psig...I had a magazine that held like 10 balls...I bet that would hurt getting hit by it lol.

Hehe the shenanigans and terminology are wild you must’ve had a great time at the worksite.

He has a pic of what appears to be a 50 bmg round although the rim on the end looks a little different.
With that rim smaller than the case, it might be a .50 Beowulf.

Yes I was using something similar for reference the slants on the case exceed the round in diameter so it has to be reamed to like .585 at the widest the. whole slant is like .72mm. The case on a Beowulf slants as well it exceeds 13mm in the case. I wanted to make a muzzle break similar to the one I have for my Beowulf but wasn’t sure what material to use? Would brass be a good material or inconel perhaps?

Whats wrong with 4140?......thats one piece that could be made from titanium.,but doubtless cheaper to buy an investment cast one from a supplier.
Yes but I could machine it for next to nothing hehe.

Would brass be a good material or inconel perhaps?

Brass is too soft; it would not last very long. Inconel is hard to machine and for that reason, I would not use it, but it would probably work.

Thanks for the tip

416 stainless steel...same as barrel steel, works like a champ.

Thanks as long as my details are continuously interchangeable anything suboptimal will definitely be replaced as time passes. I just think I need a lower with around a .4-.415 inch magwell. What do you say the correct size magwell is for a 3.75” round? I just want the hammer working beyond the passing bolt and the round protruding from the barrel itself chamber and extension.
