Got to use my 9 inch steady rest on my heavy 10 with my adapter plate. Works great now I can use the same steady rest on both my 9" and heavy 10. Cost to do so about $10.00 and a little time. :)

One way to cheat on the plate is to get an old tailstock base.I was able to use a 9" steady rest on a 13" LeBlond that way.Quite solid.Chet your 10 hogged that piece out didnt it.

Nice.

I have a heavy 9, so I need to get a heavy 10 steady and a negative spacer. Does online metals sells anti-matter? :-)

Steve: I am guessing that a steady for a heavy 10 would "work" with your lathe. I have a 10K steady that I use with Model A 9" SB and it works OK. Gary P. Hansen
