I used to know a guy that was a shaft-seal specialist, sadly, all my expert contacts are retired now - don't know where to turn.

The McMaster-carr 2122N19 might be OK - it doesn't have an internal spring.

Never thought to check speed limits on a seal. I just used a CR/SKF double lip seal. I rarely run over 2K RPM.
