Any PM members that have infrared wireless probing on VMC ? If so...do you know how the receiver is interfaced to the control ?

In this case, Hexagon system with Fanuc 0iF control... but interface may be similar to Renishaw. Does the receiver connect to a separate power supply in the electrical cabinet ? And where does it connect to the control ?

And perhaps a separate thread... but is there probably Hexagon software interfaced to the control.. or does Fanuc have probing functions built in that recognizes the Hexagon probes ? (in this case there are two..table mounted one for tool offsets/diameter and CAT40 one for part probing)

Which hexagon (m&h) system ? Could you attach the picture of the receiver ?

Curiously, the "operating instructions" provide zero info on actually using the system once installed and adjustments made.

I guess it is up to machine manufacturer to setup integrate macros into controls. Also where to pick up power is up to machine manufacturer, not control/probe manufacturer.
Technically it can be retrofitted, and macros can be handwritten manually afterwards.

1. Is the system installed and connected to the control ? If not, here https://www.system3d.pl/pub/download/instrukcja-obslugi-sonda-hexagon-m&h-IRR91.50.pdf you can download the installation instructions and data.
2. Does the system include both the tool setter and the touch probe ?
3. If the system is installed, are the measuring routines files present in machine control ?

I installed the Renishaw RMP-Q?, probe and tool setter in a Kitamura w a F16iMB.
The MTB will list the board connections in the electrical diagrams. It doesn't connect to the "control" directly, the MTB IO board interfaces power & the skip signal to the control. We also used the provided relays for power to the radio. It took about 8hrs for probe & tool setter with the complete electricals never having done it before.(not too hard)
