Auction Score!!! 3 Brownies (2 Servocam)

IIRC (it's been more than 10 years) I went with polycarbonate with an abrasion-resistant coating. I was more concerned with chips than coolant. I run straight oil (Mobilmet 426) on that machine when I use cutting oil.

I use this material (PET-G) for thermoformed doors on one of my company's products. It is very clear, and very cost effective compared to polycarbonate or acrylic. It's impact resistance is somewhere in between acrylic and polycarbonate. It seems to only be available in polyfilm-masked sheet, and it is prone to getting scratched and gouged when the film-masking gets a sheet corner dragged across it, or the masking rolls up and then surfaces rub together. It does require heat-forming if you have a defined part shape to make.
