B&S dial bracket repair

Been a while, medical issues with the wife, machinist buddy has cancer and treatment is kind of rough, but I am back to putzing with my Dynamaster. Before he was diagnosed with cancer he made me a shaft and gear so I could get the knee back on. Now I am putting it back together, and sprucing it up as I go. I found the traverse dial bracket to be broken and while one part of it is just cosmetic, one part that is broke actually has a function. I could just cut out the back side and put a "washer" in with 3 flush screws to fasten, but not sure I could live with the rough (broken) front. There are three on the machine, and two are great, but this one is broke. Maybe someone has a source for a used one, but I couldn't find one right quick. One could make a new one, but I don't have the machine(s) to do it, and it would probably be cost prohibitive. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Carl
