Best non traditional Materials for machining Jewelry out of

Check out reactive metals.com. They deal in exotic metals like niobium as well as amalgams such as mokume gane and a variety of permanent colorants.

I showed my daughter how to make earrings from copper plumbing pipe. She annealed a short section with a propane torch, cut it open, flattened it, cut out the shape and hammered it, shined it up, selectively oxidized it with the torch, then sprayed it with a clear protective coating.

I know zero about Hematite but I always liked the color. Might be a bitch to work but again I don't know anything about it other than I think it's neat.

Not exactly jewelry but not far off it, I made this piece from Ipé wood, Inconel 718 and rainbow lattice sunstone.
My original plan was to make a ring from the Inconel and set the sunstone in it,
but I ended up breaking up with the GF prior to that,
so I made this for her instead.

The Ipé machined really nicely.
The Inconel broke a bunch of my tooling haha.
Very gummy to work with.

Great stuff, thanks alot for all the suggestions.

I ended up ordering some Inconel 625, Monel 400 and Titanium Grade 5.

Im planing on make some nice combination of these materials, whil anodizing the titanium to a beautiful color.
