Hello, New poster here, but have lurked for years.

Just acquired a Bridgeport series 1, 2HP 9x48 mill
Its in really good shape. Has been in storage for the last 8-10 years, minimal use before that. The original Bridgeport powerfeed
Lower housing and handwheel were broken in a previous move.
I need help IDentifing the model powerfeed, and a direction to go to find replacement parts? I think its an 8F ? Would like to repair what I have as first option, before moving to an off brand / Chinese powerfeed, as plan B I have also considered fabricating an adapter plate to relocate the fastening points? That might turn into a Plan C? Appreciate any help

Thanks, Paul

If you do some searching here you can probably find what you need. Plenty of stuff from the past about power feeds. You should fix what you have.
Because to replace what you have with a Chinese Communist (ChiComm) built unit is degrading.

Looks like a 6F. I do not see the front cover bump out, I have plenty of parts, do you need the main casting. Need to be more specific showing the broken parts. This ma have had the new style board conversion on a 6f unit.A Problem that, is you still use the old style problematic micro-switches. Paul

It's most likely a 6F-C model, where they started mixing up the 6F and 8F together. The front plate is flat and says Bridgeport, but the dialholder has the spots for the 8F style handle. Obviously it could be that the previous owner just made do with what he could find. The easiest way to tell exactly what is it is to look on the casting underneath where the coupler is and that is where the serial number is stamped.

All of those parts are still available, we got a bunch of used castings and a few handles available.

I have , what looks like, a 6F-A. All parts, except for the motor. I have been looking for someone to give it a new home. Let me know if you are interested.
