Bridgeport Series 1 question

Was it originally wired for 480 volt? Wired now for 240? If so you need to change the overload heaters for the correct amp draw. (Twice the current draw for 240 vs 480)

My electrician friend came over last night and said it was never set up for 480V but the heaters were too small for its amp draw so he has some he will give me to swap out.

Putting in the bigger heater solved it. Ran it for around and it never tripped once.
