Because I want to. I have piles of tooling and don’t hog anything. I know some of you struggle to answer the questions being asked and have to interject your own dialogue which PM has always been known for, but try and stick to the question posed. If you have to once again inject personal opinion, it will be reflective of your inability to actually provide knowledgeable information to the questions I posed.
To those that have offered USEFUL information, I appreciate it.
As of yesterday I was able to see the machines side by side. Yes, I knew there were differences but there was nothing anything with measurements to know until I could see them.
The only solution I am seeing is a S2S ram/turret swap OR for me to machine an adapter for the 2J head mount to larger S2 swivel/knuckle.

The knuckle adapter could be a little complicated if you intend on incorporating the gear & t-slots into the adapter?
Does the series I tracer have a gear in the adapter for rotating the head, if it does, I would adapt that to the series II knuckle?

Page #6 has a picture of the adapter with a provision for the gear......

Thanks again. I did want to say something to those suggesting I use the 4j head.
The entire machine has been sitting for a very long time. Was in a foundry and neglected. The only thing good that I’m aware of is that they spent $1700 for motor rebuild in head. All controls in the box and table are likely junk. The head supposedly works but I’m not wasting time or money to find out.

If I was going to try that, I think I'd find the top of turret and ram for a series 1, and machine an adapter to allow me to bolt it to the larger diameter base of the series 2.

The series 2 has an interlock on the waylube pump. It won't work if its out of waylube.

Can you elaborate on why an adapter between knuckle and head won’t allow the Bijur pump to work? I ask because I removed the head last night and saw nothing on the ram—> head where way lube was incorporated.
I appreciate any information you can continue to provide.
