Appears that organizers of the "Freedom Convoy" are successfully closing multiple points of entry between the U.S. and Canada. It's day 4 for closure of the Ambassador Bridge which is said to carry 25% of trade between the U.S. Canada.

Article from CNBC reports auto plant closures are now happening directly attributed to the trucker protests.

--"The blockade is now entering its fourth day on the Ambassador Bridge, which accounts for a
quarter of goods traded between the U.S. and Canada."

--"General Motors, Ford Motor and Toyota Motor have been forced to cut production at several
plants in the U.S. and Canada this week due to a lack of parts."

--"The White House said it was monitoring the problem “very closely,” according to press
secretary Jen Psaki."

Automakers cut production due to anti-vaccine Canadian trucker protest

This is a very pertinent topic as it effects ICE cars and transportation along with manufacturing. I trust that the fact that GM has had this happen that this thread will not be closed down. That is because the EV’s have become oppressive as no one can change to them quick enough. Government supported the rule the day it seems as every producer of ice engine cars and trucks must agree to the whole change.

I doubt we will be hands off if the truckers do the same here. Business must carry on. Americans do not want to have trouble feeding their families due to supply issues. That this is part of the green movement is obviously just silly. Time to change over is needed and Oil is still a major thing.

I doubt it will be allowed to be the same here as Americans want their food and supplies and we do not want to do without. Already many now realize that depending on foreign production is not the way to go because it costs too much.

How dare you restart a thread on a topic that was closed, isn't there a cross burning you can go to tonight? Or possibly a synagogue you could burn down? Spineless out of touch liberal Trudeau claims all the truckers are racist Nazis and who in their right mind would not believe him? BigB asked me to pinch hit since he is done for the evening.

I think he's bringing up the notion that since automotive industry is densely concentrated in SE MI and Ontario, the constant daily flow of parts for "Big 3" production (largely ICE) being interrupted by the bridge closure could be part of some green EV revolution and subsequently dismissing the idea all at once.

As of yesterday, US bound traffic was open, but no return into Canada, unless you wanted to wait 4+ hours in line at the blue water bridge. So we can still accept their trash into our landfills, which is cool.

Only because automation will effect the trucking industry. It appears these automations in trucking will be lead by Tesla. I am not complaining too much as I do believe this is happening. I am glad to see that clearly. True things can change yet I see this EV trend. All reasonable things aside I doubt it will be a profitable change. So it is promoted by our Government in this world and we are all in for it. I do not disagree completely. I do feel if this change is unstoppable then maybe it is just coming and there is not much we can do. I understand the whole environment change thing good.

Anyway my two cents. :)

Mr.Trueturning: You believe Americans value their comfort over all else? Isn't that how we blamed the Germans for accepting the excesses of the Nazis?
Guns, preppers etc. are just wasting their money. They will fold as soon as they hear lead and dried milk supplies are threatened.

Start at the front of the line, the smart ones will get the hint.

Naïve is a bunch of truckers thinking they can make not just one, but 2 governments submit to their will.

Well then is every rightful protest naïve then ? The right of free speech is key at least in the US. In Canada we will see how this is dealt with. Do you know any truckers? I do and they drive alone all the time. They respect any customer they deliver to by masking and so on. They are also fiercely independent regarding their vax ing . I know this is not ideal as I do think faxing is good but yet here we are/

I like your posts here of late. Hope all is going your way out West way.

Simple DHS take pictures of them and well they never get in the US again.

GM and Ford move production south close the plants in Canada.
Right to free Speech and protest doesn’t mean there are no repricutions

I’m sure the Mexicans would love the work

The crux of our differences does seem to boil down to:

If "The People" close down free movement and activity, =BAD

If "the government" closes down free movement and activity. = OK.

What makes "The Government" omniscient? It is derived from the same people.!

For those who may remain confused, please read the Canadian Charter of Rights, and The US of A Constitution and Bill of Rights.

No Politician, Police, or military personnel EVER swore oath to uphold directives contrary to those documents.

Thank HEAVEN!
