We just made this new crane, if anyone wants one, DM me. Pretty sweet, omnidirectional capabilities!
Post price right here.We just made this new crane, if anyone wants one, DM me. Pretty sweet, omnidirectional capabilities!
Meccanum wheels aka "Swedish" wheels. Instead of a tread, there is a set of rollers on the periphery of the wheel. These are mounted at a diagonal, so they develop side thrust. By mounting a LH and a RH wheel on the same axis of rotation, but with independent rotation, you can generate balanced (forward/backward) thrust, or sideways thrust. I think they were originally used on motorized wheelchairs, but they are used a lot in the high school robotics competitions. It moves sideways. How do the "wheels" work?
yes please do.Do we DM you if we want one or if we want to buy one?![]()
haha honestly, I don't think Alibaba would even get close.Just send this thread to alibaba, and we will get price in no time.
very true.No price is too high if you want something.
Except for China to take your price and beat it down so nobody in the USA can compete..
a darn shame. That is why the constitution says "duties and tariffs,"..not income tax.
HaHaHa....try Ebay HaHaHa yourself.haha honestly, I don't think Alibaba would even get close.
Going back 20 years saw 'jury-rigged' lifting devices used on some airline work which created some really sketchy installs...then came the use of COBRA lifts that would data log(?) lift forces on the pylon as well as allow an operator to adjust install angle during engine r&r.Not a prototype we make about 25 a year, they are priced at 40k if anyone is interested.
Very true. Thanks for your input. I run a lathe and I love it, makes life so much easier instead of trying to team lift heavy material. Our mill guys love it too, because with some of our enclosed machines, its impossible to use a suspended crane, with the layouts of some of the Hurcos.Got some real advantages
1 use anywhere in the shop
2 no need to keep air open above machines for a jib style .
3 no floor space use up mounting above mentioned crane . ( 3 of those mounted in shop sucks up room for another machine )
4 similar to #1 but if need be can relocate to different shop easily
Only thing that would be annoying is that it is in the path of you trying to work versus a suspended load with only a hook coming down
