Chinese DRO quality

I've had a Sino on my Induma turret mill for the past 12 years +, cos it was cheap, ...........no complaints no problems and it does what it says on the tin.

Oh yeah, circular bolt patterns are fine

Works for me YMMV

Since cheap DRO is being discussed I see Acu-Rite VUE model is now discontinued and deep discounted as in just over $600 on several tool web sites.Yes they are not $150 but knowing the company has been around for years and still in business making DRO products. Any one have / use this type ?

I remember when they came out. It was Bausch & Lomb in upstate New York, actually, and kind of a revolution. Just took a look at the Accu-Rite website, they have erased any mention of the company before Heidenhain bought them. I wonder why ?
