I have enjoyed a few years of good service from my Cincinnati 2MI. The model number for the machine is: 5J2UIV-6 R. The rapid traverse has been overtaking the feed without me actuating the rapid clutch. I've been staring at the manual for about a week now trying to figure it out. The rapid traverse clutch has been backed off to where even with the lever pulled up/ engaged it is not applying pressure to the clutch disc pack. The symptom started out as intermittent but at this point it is constant. The rapid side is consistently overtaking sprag gear and feed engagement while the machine is running is impossible due to clashing. I've looked into the feed lever assembly but for the life of me I don't understand it's function. I'd appreciate any help on the matter that any can provide.
