Hi folks:
Bought this little gem 20+ years ago. I have searched tirelessly to find any information on it but have not found anything close. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mark

I'd guess that was hand made by a craftsman fan. Craftsman only started using that logo in the 60s, and there is no mention of any wooden chests in any catalog from that era that I've seen. They have a very similar metal one in the 1969 catalog, but nothing made of wood. You can poke around in the catalogs on Vintage Machinery's site. Or the general Sears catalogs are online as well.

Thank you for your research and reply. Some of my Facebook friends have found a Gerstner and sons box that is identical down to the Eagle lock. It makes me wonder if Sears had a partnership at some point.

Not a Gerstner
Could be someone engraved the logo later, but Craftsman did have wood toolchests. Ted posts here and has a site with id info on many makers
