Crashed Trumpf Dies

One of the Trumpf benders were crashed last night. The dies are completely stuck together with the material wedged inside. I've tried about everything I can to get these dies apart. I got a hydrolic splitter and made new jaws for it out of tool steel as the original cast ones couldn't handle the load. I've tried several different designs on the jaws to try and eliminate the weak points. I can find little, to no info on this issue online so I'm hoping someone on here has a solution that will work. Thanks in advance.

How many tons was the press? You're going to need atleast that to get it apart.

If the tonnage is in the realm of a few toe jacks, like under 30 tons, you might try that if you have toe jacks.

If it's more than that start making wedges.

If you can clamp one side really, really well to something immovable you could try a jackhammer. Use a soft sacrificial plate between the bit and tooling, but a real jackhammer packs a hell of a hit. I've used mine for stuff like this and it worked.
