Hi folks,

I cut a lot of 0.8mm copper sheet to make thin electrodes on my WEDM.

My database for copper only goes down to 5mm thickness and I currently modify my condition to tried and tested settings every time.

I’d like to make my own custom condition. I can see that I can add my own line to the COND page and save that. But I can only seem to change the condition once the program has started.

I’d personally like to add my own entry to a database for the condition search when using IQ. But I can’t seem to find out if it’s even possible.

Has anyone done something like this? Or have another work around that they could share?

By the way, I’m in favour of the new layout. Much more mobile friendly.

Thanks in advance for anything people might be able to share with me.

I did speak to applications today and he told me I can create new ones in the user database by editing the reference database. Once the machine recognises the modification it creates a prompt to ask for it to create a new entry.

Search for
- edit
- condition search
- Find a close condition
- more info
- Edit database
- change the database
- Click login.

I may have missed one exact step but it’s pretty intuitive. And I now have a new condition for cutting 0.8mm copper.
