Doosan TT1800SY Restart

Good day, have a Doosan TT1800SY multi-path machine running a fairly involved part requiring live adjustable angle heads, pinch turning, cross path work, bar fed, polar interpolation and synced multi axis cutting with inverse feed so on and so forth. My question is, since I'm using a generous amount of wait codes to keep things from running into each other and turrets bouncing from one spindle to the next. Is there a "proper" way to restart the machine in the middle of a process, after turning on Op Stop. Doing so causes the machine to wait for both flows to reach an M1. Starting back up at this point starts the machine out of sync due to the machine waiting for both systems to reach its M1 in its program. As a matter of fact, I believe trying to do this actually causes the machine to soft alarm warning about sync codes not be aligned or something along that effect.

I have no experience with dual channel Fanucs or Doosans, but on Mazaks I will always restart on the same wait codes for each turret. I do a non-modal restart as well to ignore everything above the wait codes in question. This seems to be the safest way on machines like that to avoid getting things out of whack.

I have my posts either set to only output an m1 after a sync, or to not output m1s altogether. If you have the turrets timed, simultaneously working the same spindle, and one hits an m1 while the other keeps going, that is not a recipe for a good time.

If I was on the floor and really needed an op stop in the program somewhere I'd throw a sync on both turrets, an m1 after it, and then another sync after that just for good measure. And like CNC Hacker said, always start with both turrets on the same sync.

Having worked for Doosan and also running twin turret Okuma's in my shop, I can tell you that a little tweaking is in order.
You should probably post an M1 or M0 at certain stations in the programs (both paths) where you could search with a unique sequence number. This would be some place where the turrets would be safely parked and the A axis home. Then pick up from there.

Because of machine/program complexity that you're describing, I would avoid, at all costs, the Sequence restart function. I never liked it on Fanuc controls although it works well on OSP.

By having a safe restart position in your program, you'll save time and headache when having to restart the program. Perhaps even put a few of them in the program. This way there's always a safe harbor to go to.
