Dreis & Krump brake ram adjustment worm gears

I have a 45 ton model 56-A and and am trying to replace the worm gear in the ram adjustment. I need get the adjustment worm shaft out. I see the bearings but no retaining ring. Is this just a hammer it out or is there a special retaining clip?

You need a parts manual with an exploded view

Exploded view doesn't show. I have inner and outer worm gear bearings and have no idea how to get the shaft out. The shaft itself has a worm gear on it as well. No retaining ring etc.

That sucks. Any chance of calling the Mfgr or a company that does repairs on them?
Does the shaft press in the gear?
