Early 1900’s Chard 16” swing Lathe for sale

I’m not sure if we allow for sale threads here, but if there is a place someone could appreciate this, I’d think it to be here.

Vintage Chard 16 lathe, 16” swing. This is an early 1900’s model 1909-1916 approximately. 3-cone double back gear quick change design. Headstock has renewable Babbitt bearings & has large grab 5” renewable Babbitt threading gear. Originally line shaft driven, it has been converted to 480v 3 phase (but you can put your own different motor on it). The conversion is a Given Varispeed, which uses adjustable pitch pulleys to change drive input speed. Everything is free turning and operational, all of the selectors and locks work perfectly. The bed has some expected wear on the ways. One small gear in the carriage has a missing tooth,(see pic), it’s not a special gear & I know where it can be had, repaired, or made locally.

Includes a 12” 3-jaw chuck, 10” 3-jaw chuck, Jacobs # 36 chuck, and some cutting bits.

-May- also include a Yaskawa VFD if I have one the right size for this motor.

I can help load with a tractor onto your trailer.
