Yes, but no.
Really, really, no.
You are quoting a 15 kW controller -- the tesla does 700 kW peak, and 400 kW sustained.

Find me a 400 kW sustained controller under 200 lbs .. and smaller than a refri.

A couple of things... First, this is not a thread about Tesla's design or manufacturing innovations. Second, most modern industrial motor controllers are quite compact even though they're relatively highly rated. For example, you can take a look at Sevcon Gen4 Size 6 controllers which are rated for 650A (11lb package).
Finally, here is an example of a DC-DC converter one would have to use to run a forklift from a battery of the "wrong" voltage:

(40lb package, couldn't find the price, but likely many thousands)

My friend... One more time. There is no point in talking about Tesla's accomplishments here. You said voltages can easily be converted with DC-DC, I showed you an example of a DC-DC "suitable" for use in an application that's being discussed here.

Whether it is 400kW or 700kW, limiting factor is the current. At 400V 400kW is just 1000A, and like I stated earlier, compact industrial controllers are routinely handling 400-600A.
