Did Ellis make a dividing head that accepted 5C collets? I see them in the wild with B&S #9, but a dealer had said one model was 5C.
No help on the Vintage Machinery site.

Reggie, I've owned several Ellis heads none of which accept a 5C collet. Like Stretch said 3C with the adapter to the B&S taper. I think the spindle diameter is too small for the 5C. Pretty good head though, I've cut plenty of gears with mine. Nice feature is that you can put it on the table without a gorilla or a hoist. I usually use a four jaw, with an arbor or a face plate for the work I've done. A couple pics of work using one. B&S 2A Light Universal Mill.

5C would be nice, but is not a necessity. I was misled about there being an ELLIS dividing head that was 5C, I can work with B&S #9. Now to find an Ellis dividing that's fairly complete, the three I've seen were all somewhat incomplete in different areas.

Thanks everyone.
