EMCO Turn 120P - Power ON Issues CRT Screen

My dads engineering business has an EMCO 120P that has been out of action for 12 months due to an issue on power up. I’m trying to help my brother out by getting the machine running again. The screen shows some alarms, but the text has gone large and offset to one side. I’m wondering if the screen is calibrated with all three phases working and maybe one isn’t which has caused the alarms and the display to become corrupt? Or is it more likely to be an issue with the screen and or a circuit board?

I think Emco was approached when it broke but they weren’t able to offer a solution.

Any ideas would be a great help.

So I’ve found the alarm codes in the programming manual. 104 / 106 / 107 sounds like a problem with the 24v DC supply unit. Does anybody know where roughly this is? All the glass fuses that I can see appear to be ok. One of the cards has green leds 20 / 21 / 22 / 23 not lit. I’m guessing there could be an issue with this card? If that’s the case I know a guy that could probably fix the card.

Hi.

I hope my reply is not too late!

To fix the text you have to enter the User MONITOR (to set the parameters). So go into EDIT mode, type MONITOR and ENTER.

You want to adjust parameter T21. So type T21, and set the value to 0. Press RESET after adjusting the parameter to store it.

That sorted mine out.

Cheers.

Louis
