Experienced CNC Lathe Programmer/Machinist (Mazak)

Job Summary: We are currently seeking a skilled and independent minded CNC Lathe Programmer/Machinist experienced in Mazatrol to join our team. If you are a machinist capable of taking a drawing for a large complex part and executing all tasks required to produce it right the first time, we want to hear from you. If you also have a background in engineering or managing CNC production, we can work together to improve/develop CNC production procedures and set you up to manage future CNC employees as well.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Program both through Mazatrol and G-code, with a focus on getting a job right the first time.
  • Set up and configure CNC lathe for each production run or one-off part.
  • Perform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments on the go to ensure tight tolerances.
  • Continuously update and improve programs and procedures and provide feedback to maintain and improve quality and efficiency.
  • Execute routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues promptly.
  • Thoroughly inspect and verify finished parts to meet high quality standards.
  • Demonstrate expertise in manual machining techniques when necessary to complement CNC processes.
  • Uphold a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist, preferably in a precision-focused job shop environment.
  • Proficiency in both Mazatrol and G-code programming.
  • Proficiency in using Solidworks or like software.
  • In-depth understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
  • Ability to independently read and interpret intricate engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Impeccable problem-solving skills with an unwavering attention to detail.
  • Communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively when needed.
  • Proven expertise in manual machining techniques and equipment.

About Us: We are a small company located along the Gulf Coast that specializes in repair (and sometimes production of) large rotating and reciprocating components for customers nationwide. We are hiring now and may be able to help with relocation as needed.
