I always thought melanoma's "be best" was pretty funny while her hubby was vilifying everyone but his family. And mocking a handicapped reporter. And.....

And this has to do with fairer taxes how?

We've been through this already so I know you are lying ... it doesn't work for me. Could be the browser, could be connected to some ipfilter rules, I don't know. But you are aware of this because you've brought it up before.

Now go suck a dick, asshole.

Check with Pete Buttigieg about dicks and asshole worship---Maybe you can get a "Like" from him.

You and the rest of the TRUMP CULT MEMBERS already do a pretty good job of that. Look at the thread about wasting time. Ajh decided to try to make it into a shit show and it appears that termite tried to keep it going until Ox edited his comment.

Fix-er-fer-ya. Have fun in the airport mens room.

How could we forget family values republican larry craig, the "wide stance" guy who passed his business card to an undercover cop in the bathroom stall next to him. I don't recall how that all ended for him. Did he get a BJ or not? LOL

Or maybe it should be did he give a BJ or not?

In order to have a full understanding of what "fairer" taxation would we would first need a thorough, accurate assessment of their impact on various economic groups and while some scholars have researched this I know of no comprehensive work that could guide citizens and legislators.

Without such a study all tax proposals have to be mostly judged on their advertising which often presents too rosy a picture.

What could be "fairer" than all income is taxed the same ?

Doesn't it strike you as odd that every time someone proposes a government benefit, the propaganda is Marlboro Men, we make it on our own through hard work and perseverance ! No hoovermint handouts !

But when it's 'investments', why gosh, the government needs to give incentives to the job-providers and housing landlords !

Like, how about we tax all income at the same rate and let the Invisible Hand sort it out ?

The Tax Dept here have a pie chart showing that self employed and small business are 75% of tax evasion by $ value, and the billionaires are only 2% of tax evasion $ value..........which just goes to prove the billionaires have much better accountants and lawyers than the self employed.

If they make the rules, they don't have to evade the tax. They just write themselves a "loohole" into the law.

There are millions of people in this country who live entirely on the compelled charity of US tax payers...every one of them can find a way to receive a tax return. How is this possible?

I would genuinely appreciate a valid explanation on this matter.

There is one group of individuals in the US that always receive the short end of the financial stick; the W9 employee. We get screwed in more ways than most people understand.

There is a game being played here. If you generate income, you're in it. There is no option to opt out. Either you learn to play the game (study finance) or lose by default.

Our government shares the same perspective. The gov is reliant upon businesses to report their own tax info. If your business has filed for a corporate status and only employs you, then you get to enjoy all the tax law written for corporations.

There are A LOT more "business" owners than there are billionaires. There isn't anything wrong with it though. Those are the rules. Again, finance is the game of life. If we don't learn to represent ourselves, someone will play your hand for you.

I can give you an accurate assessment of the effects on various economic groups. If we raise taxes on the poor they will need to further choose between eating and having life saving meds in many cases or being homeless.

If we raise taxes on billionaires their fortunes will still increase but at a slower rate.

No wonder the republicon party gave up on the "family values" thing. They don't have any.

Do you really think that having the same tax rate on billionaires and people scraping by on minimum wage is a good idea? I don't.

,

"raise taxes on the poor"......It could be argued that many poor do not really pay taxes but let's suppose they do because they buy gas for their cars, liquor, tobacco, license plates, many pay taxes either directly or it's baked into their rent payment, sales tax even on the stuff they purchase online.

So for some reason by taxing billionaires(?) that is going to magically make all taxes disappear?

Lets just say that some poor woman gets pregnant and finds out that her fetus has no arms or legs. But the right to life crowd has taken away her right to have an abortion. So the baby is born minus limbs and is expected to grow up to be a self sustaining member of society. How can someone without limbs pull themselves up by the boot straps?

Also see the mentally handicapped people. Will you hire them at a livable wage?

What I find really odd is how many people profess to be great christians but can't seem to find a bit of empathy for the less fortunate. Those people use the bible for what it can get them and have no idea what it is about.
