Hi,
I would like to know if this code is OK with feedrate on the circle blocks 1916 and 54449?
Thanks.

1914 L X-8.9053 Y-7.3617
1915 CC X-9.9931 Y-9.7507
1916 C X-8.4201 Y-7.6492 F15000 DR-
1917 L X-8.4197 Y-7.6494

54447 L X+3.7017 Z-3.45
54448 CC X+3.7028 Y-5.7894
54449 C X+3.6635 Y-5.7894 F15000 DR+

Maybe?
You really need to supply a bit more information

  • Do you want to feed at 15000? what is your programmed feed rate in CAM
  • What cam software
  • what machine

From what i can see the linear blocks are using the Modal feed rate from somewhere above in the code that we can't see(Probably F15000) and for whatever reason your post is outputting the feed on the Circular block regardless of whether it needs to or not.

Feedrate is different in other blocks. I am using Campost with Catia input.
Machinist told me that he had to remove this feedrate from these blocks to clear some error( I didnt get any info on the error). And I was told that feedrate cannot go in this block. But I could not find such info in the TNC 640 manual.

Thanks.

I know you cannot use FMAX on a circular move, but there is no problem specifying a feedrate.

its likely that the feedrate is faster than the machines maximum feedrate or is just plain too fast for that machining situation.

I cant really help with the post as i dont know anything about that software.

I would suggest you gather all the relevant information including what the error message at the controller is and talk to your software supplier
