For sale - 10pcs 4.5" x 6" x 20.5" 7050-T7451 Al plate, under $5.50/lb for all

I've got ten sawn blocks of wrought Alcoa 7050-T7451 plate, rolling direction along the 20.5" length. Mill markings on each piece. Measured piece checked at 4.485" thick, 6.07" wide, 20.53" long.

7050 in T7451 gives mechanical properties at almost 7075's level, but with much better uniformity throughout thicker material. T7451 temper has better stress corrosion cracking and excellent exfoliation resistance compared to the slightly harder T7641 or any hard 7075 alloy. Frequently the "go to" material for aluminum aerospace structures or racing parts.

No certs, but I do have written confirmation from the vendor I bought from that they XRF'd the material, will supply copy on request.

Would prefer to sell as a lot, $3,100 for about 570 pounds of material. Palleting and shipping prep free. AirTag/SmartTag or similar tracker strongly suggested, if you send me one I'll build it into the pallet. I usually ship Yellow freight from NH, local pickup welcome. Estimate $150 for transit within 600 miles, if further or you have another vendor you prefer let me know. Extra insurance suggested due to value of material.

Individual blocks at $6.25/lb. with some cost for boxing. Lot sale has priority.

Only sold to members with at least one year of registration, shipping within CONUS. Please contact me with any questions.

[Yes, the place is a bit messy]

Interested in two blocks if it gets broken up

Hi Bug,

Sure, it's looking like I'll be breaking it up. Do you have four friends out there that might also want a pair? :D

Let's give it a few days? And I've a fair amount of 7050 and 7075, so if you've got other sizes that might be of interest let me know and I can poke around. Shipping costs will be about the same from 100lbs to ~600lbs, the more someone buys the better the amortization.

I'm also interested in a few pieces. Use 7075 T-6 but want hardest possible. Make scope mounts with it. 1"X1"X 8" is min. size. Have saw to cut listed items.

Well, this doesn't happen often, but I'm going to suggest you'll do better buying Fortal (mold grade 7075) offcuts from this place:

The pricing is better, the size of stock (they've got a few options) is better for you, and the material is harder than 7050.

Now, if anyone needs larger pieces of 7050, I do still have some blocks left...
