Hi folks, new member here. I have an early 2000's Fryer MB-14Q that has a rattling noise when the quill is extended. We bought the machine used and it came like this.
Fryer first said it might be normal due to it being a geared head. However, when I shared that it seems to be dependent on quill position, and is resulting in serious tool chatter, they said it could be a worn part or improperly assembly.
Has anyone experienced this before or have a recommendation? We are considering all options- disassembling it ourselves and looking for issues, or having Fryer service it ($$$). See video link below of the sound (please put your volume low before playing). Thank you!
