I *think* that's a compliment?

:D
If you don't allow hitting below the belt, ja.

If you look at any ali-frazier discussions, the frazier people always complain that ali "holds". He has a habit of putting his left glove behind a guy's neck and leaning on them, to tire them out and also muffle their counter while he moves back. This isn't actually holding, it's more like "leaning" and he got away with it for years because it's not against the rules.

Smokin' Joe, on the other hand, consistently hit below the belt and even spoke proudly of it.

Not going to claim either one was a bad person because of their tactics but one was legal, one was not. Ahem.

So if you ever get to go back in time and be a referee, it's nice to know that hitting below the belt will be illegal. Then ali can win that first fight :D

If you are ever bored ? Youboob the thrilla in manila. It's off the charts.

Fellas, just an FYI: it would appear that I've been officially reinstated as General section co-moderator. Let's keep it clean, nothing below the belt.

:D
Your comments made me remember watching this fight:

I have a bunch of Polish friends and they invited me over to watch. They were pridefully rooting for their fellow countryman to beat an American champion. After three punches to Riddick Bowe's nuts, Golota was disqualified and Bowe declared the winner. It got real quite at that party, then a lot of vodka was l consumed to drown their sorrow and embarrasment.

Heres a grinding question...I'd like to run something sensitive...think dial indicator against one of the most abrasive things in the world...how might I go about keeping it from wearing away the not abrasive proof metal? I'm looking to measure in microns btw.

Either optical measurement, wrap the part in a nonabrasive thin film, or use something sacrificial between the indicator tip and the abrasive material. Need more detail to do any better than that. Sounds like a pain in the butt.
