Does anyone have any experience changing clutches on a graziano sag 210? How does one know if they need changing? Where would you buy them? I am also looking for a steady rest and follow rest for this machine.

Thankyou

I have recently fixed several Cincinnati lathes with slipping clutches. I don't know about Grazianos. On the machines I worked on, two of them only needed the plates adjusted tighter. The third one had some cracked plates because of a pin falling out. Cincinnati used Pullmore clutches made by Rockford Clutch.
What are the symptoms of the clutch problem?

There was a guy in washington state offering to sell me a complete gear box assy just rebuilt for a sag 210. I will look around and see if I can find his contact info for you. Other than that you can get them new from DMG America. Something like 1400.00 each. I wonder if the clutches can be rebuilt? Or if there are other options here. Do not need any myself right now, but I like my Graziano and will keep it for awile, so you never know.
