seem to have multiple issues with this machine and rigid tapping. I have check all the settings i have found on google, and the only one i can find that matched the parameter number i found, is pre orient tap. that is set to 1. (oh and rigid tapping itself is on.) edit.. i just found the 133... on the setting page. not parameters.. derp..

Code looks like this.

Code:
(T6|3/8-16 TAPRH|H6|D3|TOOL DIA. - .375)
G20
G0 G17 G40 G49 G80 G90
T6 M6
G0 G90 G59 X0. Y0. S60 M3
G43 H6 Z2.
M8
G98 G84 Z-.3 R.1 F3.75
X-1.4
X1.4
G80

i think i got it sorted.. added a g95 to each can cycle line of the program and adjusted the feed rate accordingly. Trying again with a fresh tap in a moment.

sorry i inadvertently deleted the sentence when i edited about what issues i was having.

I really dont know what the machine was thinking.. it was like it was "juddering" as it was coming down, and it wasnt running the sindle rpm or the feed correctly. it was turning like 1 or 2 times and going down 1/2 inch. I went back through all the rigid tap settings and made sure everything was right, and it kept doing that until i shut down and restarted the machine. then with the same code, it worked fine. i have no idea what it was doing but its ok now and seems to be working good 2500 holes later. i was able to get the speed to go past 60. one of the rigid tap settings must allow it, as after i rebooted i was able to run it on up to 400. I am still using the g95 however, as the spindle speed is not matching the commanded rpm. at 60 it was running 58. at 400, its running from 394-400 back and forth, so i feel better using the per rev feed rate.
