My Hardinge CHNC1 seems to have a sticking turret. Sometimes it works perfectly but other times it seems to have a hitch or a delay in the indexing which causes it not to find it's location. I've tried adjusting the cushion but it doesn't seem to help. I've included a link to a video of the problem. The video shows the turret in ESTOP mode so you can see the delay I'm referring to. Any help on this would be very much appreciated.

There’s only a couple of things it could be. The turret is operated by an air motor. Make sure your air pressure is good and very dry. These things can get temperamental if any water is in the air. You could also check the turret index position encoder. I believe there is a procedure in the manual on how to check and set this properly. It’s located under one of the plates on the top backside of the cross slide. The only other thing it could be is the stop cushion. Let me know if you need any of the manuals, I have pdf copies on my shop computer.
