could anyone please advise what a HLV in good to excellent condition be worth on the second hand market?

What are the main differences between the HLV and HLV-H, apart from the narrow bed of the fomer?

thanks.

Vincent

HLV's go from 3500 to 8000 depending on shape they are in. The main differences are the bed width and the carriage/apron which were totally redone in 1961 for the HLV-H. The internal clutches are different as well as the cross feed and long feed setups. I think the HLV's were 1hp and the HLV-H are 1.5hp. The speed control mechanism on the motors were different with crank reeves drives on the HLV and motor operated speed change via reeves drive on the HLV-H.
I have an HLV which is a very nice one for a home shop. The HLV parts are hard to get so try to get a complete unit, it's worth the higher cost.
