The connector DIO on the slave control does not have a cable connected to it. I am not sure what the loose cable connects to. What is the labeling on the connector shell?
The alarm X axis brake on will go away once the machine comes out of Estop.
The slave control is in Estop diag 50.4=0. Not sure why yet. As I get over being sick and am able to think, I will start mulling this over.
Don't break the brakes when you work on them.
The tubing that goes to the brake cylinder gets holes worn it from rubbing on the belt or brake disk.

Bill,
The board on the front has a green LED on. In the picture it is hidden behind the wires. I also looked at the big flat connectors and they seem fine. I removed, then replaced each socket one at a time with power off.
I noticed one plug not connected on the PLC on the door, the connector D10. In the picture above, the grey plug is laying on the bundle of wires. I did not connect it, but I tested to see if it could reach, and it can, barely. Does this connect?
What sort of damage can I look for? Could it be a power supply failure of some type?
