Hello all,
We have a Harig 618 with the "V" and flat ways. The table movement is very heavy. It will wear your arm out quick trying to grind anything.
We have done everything we know to do to get it to free up and it just won't. Does anyone know if it is possible to get a ballway conversion kit for these grinders? We did that several years ago to another grinder we have but I can't find one for this Harig.

Any help or advice is appreciated.
Thanks,

It is possible but not very good, IMHO.
Putting oil flaking and using way oil make a 618 Ok to crank although not as easy as ball and roller.
Oil ways getting too flat don't allow the table to run on oils as it should.
There are threads here on Pm about the conversion kits.

ok. Thanks for the info. I searched for threads on the conversion but didn't see any. I will look again.
