Greetings,
I recently purchased a Harig 612 surface grinder and the elevating handwheel was damaged in transit. I was wondering if anyone knew of or had any Harig surface grinder parts available (parts machine)? The elevation screw guard was missing so I am in the hunt for that as well. Any input is greatly appreciated... thank you!

The elevating screw guard on our old Harig was fairly simple. If one doesn't turn up, you could fab one pretty quick that would look just like an OEM part. It's a steel pipe with a cap welded on one side and a thin flange welded on the other. Drop your head all the way down without a chuck or wheel in place to determine how long to make it.

Exactly what I did with mine. I used thin wall aluminum tube, welded a cap on one end, and pressed it into a flange on the other, and welded on the inside.
