My Taiwan 10" saw has 4 speeds, ranging from 82 fpm to 230 fpm. I would like to speed it up to 600-650 fpm as I cut aluminum 98% of the time. I have already changed motors from 1725 rpm to 3450. That will double the 230 to 460. I want to change pulleys to get it to 650. Does anyone see any problems with this?

Besides it being a horizontal?
Your blade tensioner has to allow for more swing in blade length the faster sfm you go. Blades grow roughly 1/8 inch going from 300 to 350 in steel.
If you have a worm drive gear box it might lower its life from heat.
Otherwise sounds good.
