How can I generate these facing tool-paths?

I am working in Bobcad V 32
I am having no luck trying to generate these pretty paths...
The elegance of course is that any out-of-perfect tram is pretty much eliminated.
Great for anything that needs to be pretty doggone flat, yet avoiding the surface grinder.

The problem I run into is progression.
It won't follow the helix or figure eight.
It decides it's gonna break-off and do it it's own way.
Completely bastardizing the flow of progression.
However, you may be onto it.
The HSM has been rolling around in the back of my mind too.
I just have yet to attempt it.
