Hi. I am trying to work out how to remove the drive shaft on my QTN Nexus 200 MS (the same part that was broken on Skubeesnak's machine) without damaging anything. I have removed the gearbox from the turret. I can’t see what retains the shaft but there must be something on the back end or it would fall out. Going by the drawings it looks like the whole shaft assembly and bearings 1 could be pushed out in the direction of the red arrow once cap 3 is removed. Bearings 2 and associated bevel gear would need to be pulled out far enough to give clearance for sleeve 5 if sleeve 5 needs to be pushed out in that direction. I'm guessing the bearings would need quite a bit of force to push or pull out. There is a screw at location 6 (shown with screw removed in the attached pic) and the end appears to locate in a key way. I assume this screw functions to limit the travel of sleeve 5. With this screw removed I can pull sleeve 5 out further however it gets to a point where it feels like something solid is stopping it. Any info would be appreciated.
