How to use Haas coolant washdown hose?

Hello, I bought a Haas VF-2, and I'm just getting started to learn how to operate this machine.
I'm sorry if this question is such a basic question, but I couldn't find an answer in the Haas operation manual or the internet.

I've got the coolant washdown gun as below, and I want to clean the interior of the machine to clear chips.
The problem is that the coolant won't come out from the hose.
So, I think the coolant pump is controlled by the Haas control through "coolant" button.

However, the coolant button only allows to be pushed when the machine door is closed.
That's because when the coolant button is pushed, the spindle coolant is activated and splashes everywhere.

How do I turn on the coolant washdown gun with door open without activating the spindle coolant?

There should be a valve up at the coolant ring around the spindle. Turn that valve to close off the coolant and then do exactly what you've been doing. Important note, once your done cleaning don't forget to turn that valve back open, it would suck to walk away after pressing the green button and run your tools dry.

There are two valves that control flow to the spindle coolant.

I closed them off, and the coolant button no longer release the spindle coolant.
However, the coolant button only activates when the door is closed.

Also, looks like that T-plate behind the table bed release the coolant.
Upon googling, there seems to be way to disable door open security feature by turning off the security key and restarting the machine.
However, is there any way on Haas control to change between two option?

Huh, the VF2's I ran (newest one was from 2020) didn't need to have the door closed to turn on the coolant. Coolant should still come out of the back to help push chip toward the front auger like you said. Probably just a parameter you have to change.

Thank you for the help. I've turned the key on the control to make it set-up mode, then closed the valve and turned coolant button on.
Then I was able to washdown with the gun with the door open.
