Hurco TM6 x axis following error limit exceeded

recently just sent out the controls on my TM6 to be upgraded since we had a board go bad and was not able to be replaced according to hurco. was told it would be pretty much a plug and play after the controls came back aside from a few parameter changes. plugged the controls all back in, made the few parameter changes and having issues. i can move the x and z axis manually just fine. when i calibrate the machine, it starts the calibration process and then errors out when trying to calibrate for x with (z axis following error limit exceeded). we did not have this issue at all before sending the controls out to be upgraded. why all of a sudden we are now having these issues?

for reference software version:
winmax 9.02.181.155 LT

thanks in advance!

My TM6 2012 did exactly that after the first year of ownership, bought new. Re-calibrate a dozen times, and it finally would work. I always thought it was a limit switch issue. Recently replaced the x axis limit switches after the aggravation built up too high. $50 made in Germany switches, both had failed. No continuity whatsoever. In my case, probably had less than 5000 cycles on them.

One way to confirm, since you can manually move it. The limit switch will indicate on the screen in manual mode. Just crank it up until you get the fault, I'll bet you didn't see the limit switch indication.

They are a chore to replace, but doable.
