It seems HVAC repair service is done like Uber these days, but with piss poor management. I called Gordons, and they said they could have someone out the next day at a certain time, and sent a confirmation email. No call, no show. After calling them a few times, I finally got a call back from someone who said he'd just been assigned the job, and could we schedule for the next day. Next day, no call, no show. So I called Randall, they said they could have someone out the next day, sent a confirmation email which came from the same email address as Gordon's, and again the tech was no call no show.

I'm at a loss as to how to get someone to actually show up.

We use Elk River Heating and Air at work. They have been pretty good and I think their service area gets over that far.

Hello Dude,
I'm also looking for HVAC repair service but in Greensboro area.

You've mentioned Elk river company but I didn't got any response till now. Do you know any company in this area?

Cheers,

I live in rural SE Metro or Cottage Grove, Minnesota and on local TV commercials you hear about a Plumbing Company [ I won't ID them as they may sue me, as this is my opinion] and they will 'send or assign a tech with-in 2 hours from your call, or no charge. the key word I found is sending. they send the assigned tech . They called back and said I was scheduled to have a tech to come to my location and guaranteed he was scheduled , but that doesn't mean anyone will show up. It took the scheduled tech 3 days to show up to open a drain.

When as he walked in he said '' Do have a septic system'?' I said yes, he then said we don' work on private septic systems. I was pissed! He didn't dare leave my house, as I made it clear he was going to fix it before he left, I may have scarred him a bit, lol So he tells me because i have plastic pipe, his tool could cut into my pipes. He ran a snake down about 5 feet down the water was draining. Like everything else don't believe what they say as it's a sales pitch. I now own a snake and the wife doesn't use the garbage disposal anymore, .
