Hello Guys,
this is very interesting thread for me. I came across with a nice Hydrovane 33 compressor, 40 years old but hardly used - only 663 hours. It was army stock. Looks like new. The problem is that last 10 years was stored and unused - i found the oil became an oil/water emulsion. I took apart unloader valve - bit dirty inside, after cleaning shoud run fine, safety valve looks like new. The problem is servo valve - i can't manage to remove valve sleeve from compressor body. I know there is one bolt from underside, locating the sleeve. I removed that bolt but the sleve is still stuck. Sleeve has internal thread, G3/8 so i screwed in G3/8 piece of rod and used gentle blows od reverse hammer. Not sure how far i can go with hammer blows. Do you know if there some other bit holding the sleeve down in place? There is some oil/water slug in side - maybe corrosion caused the sleeve to sieze? Any ideas? Thank you.

It's been years since I've had mine apart, so not sure what all holds the servo valve in place. Perhaps a bit of heat on the housing after you are certain all fasteners have been removed.
