Does anyone with your view point care about all the hard working people put in daily danger forced to interact with these scumbags to do their jobs to support their families? I have taken quite a few prison tours, a lot of lifers spend every waking moment conjuring up ways to assault staff. You would be shocked at some of the weapons that are made. They don't care if it takes them 3 months to make a knife.

This is a rather complicated issue, but violence is not limited to inmates on death row. Executing people just because you think it is safer or cheaper is an interesting moral dilemma. On the issue of do I care about the danger they pose to the prison guards? Sure I do, that is a workplace safety issue, no different from being exposed to dangerous machinery or substance. Protocols, education, insurance, and adequate compensation. But those are hard to come by in a for-profit prison system

If you truly believe that, we are all foocked beyond belief. Probably not, but sure as hell I want to keep them away, so no harm can be done.

The facility that was involved in some sort of attack, was described as a "training center". With constant administration staffing in nearby facilities.
