Ok Billy,
1. Who gives a shit about the story? It’s none of my damn business what his story is and it’s none of yours... It doesn’t have to be 100% maybe he doesn’t want to disclose every little detail. None of that was part of the questions. So why the F are you getting all caught up on it??? He has another business and it is profitable, gotcha... don’t even need that much information, but cool.
2. You are a moron... end of story... many people on this thread alone have told you that you are wrong and you still refuse to listen. You are obviously not a machinist you might call yourself one but you have not worked in a machineshop. Actually I will give you some credit, maybe you have, maybe you have worked in a shop with one or two... HAAS? Yeah probably a HAAS and some manual machines... It is NOT uncommon for someone to identify a machine by their control type “A Funuc machine” “A Mitsubishi machine” “A Siemens machine” bc the control is what matters when you are working with a machine. Especially when you work in a shop that has several different makes and control types. So again, STFU
Yes, Siemens does not make a stand alone machine from the ground up, that’s not what they specialize in. They specialize in controls... they make really good PLCs and CNC controls. But if you look back at the OP you will read the he isn’t looking for a Siemens based machine he wants to do a retro fit with a Siemens control. THAT was his point. If you had something greater than a subpar comprehension level you would have understood that... but you don’t... which is why you are a moron and need to sit back in your corner with your crayons... Be relevant or STFU. Help and encourage or STFU.
I have spoken...
