A while ago I bought a spindle from a cylindrical grinder to use it on my lathe. I'm setting up a prototyping shop and I don't have space for a proper cylindrical grinder, so this is the next best thing.
I have no idea, however, how to lubricate the spindle. It's KR40-250 model from a company named Malcus with max speed of 30k RPM. Nothinng meaningful in google, but it looks very similar to spindles from Fortuna, Jotes and other European grinders. There are two setscrews there, but I have zero idea what they are for. Any ideas? Should I try to open it and use some kind of high qualuty grease? Or is there any way to apply oil? Initially I thought those setscrews might guard oil entry, but it doesn't look like it. Any ideas welcomed!
