Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you could help me identify this Monarch? The serial # is A2393 and it's roughly a 16X60. Thanks

Yes, since it has the A prefix in the serial No. and it's the right size, I believe it is a model A. The A series were called 14 inch - actual swing 16.5".
Serial No. 2393 should be 1928. Looks like an 8 speed head - can't remember the year that monarch started using helical gears in the head...
Bed won't be flame hardened on this one - think that started in '36...
The old lathe looks good!

Thanks Herb and John! The solid leg under the tailstock end threw me off a little as all the other model As I've seen had the split leg. I don't know if you had a look around my Photobucket album but I've also got a small radial arm drill press I need some help identifying, the only markings I could find are "Made in Italy" and "L4"

Here's the link to my album since I forgot to post it the first time
